The purpose of this study was to investigate the scoring of DollyoChagi with wearing electronic Hogu in elite Taekwondo Kyorugi players using a biomechanical analysis. The kinematics and resulting kinetics of 4 national team players weighing between 68 to 74 kg were recorded and analyzed for the following variables; impulse, hip angles,knee angles, ankle angles and toe velocity. In all the scoring and non-scoring points, there was a significant difference between the impulse and power index. In addition, there was a significant difference between the mediolateral direction (Y-axis) of the ankle angle at the kicking toe take-off point and the internal and external direction (Z-axis) of the knee angles were also significantly different at the maximum flexion point, as the anteroposterior(x-axis) for the ankle angle at impact. For the knee angle of the kicking toe at take-off point, the internal/external rotations were significantly different, while there was no significant difference for the angle joint, but for the toe velocity at impact and the maximum scoring point the faster the foot the higher the scoring point index was measured. Thus accordingly to get a point on the new electronic chest protector, it is recommended that the players kick with more speed and therefore, DollyoChagi toe velocity in order to get more point acknowledged by the electronic Hogu.
