PMMA(poly(methyl methacrylate)) 비드를 무유화제 유화중합을 이용하여 제조하였다. 또한 유화중합에서 전해질 농도와 종류, 개시제 함량 그리고 AA(acrylic acid) 함량에 따른 입경과 CFC(critical flocculationconcentration)와 CSC(critical sedimentation concentration)값을 각각 조사하였다.

Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) beads were prepared by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization. The effect of the initiator concentration and medium and total solid content on the reaction rate, particle size and distribution of prepared latex was investigated by LS(light scattering) and SEM(scanning electron microscopy). The reaction rate increased with increase of the initiator concentration and medium content and decrease of the total solid content. The particle size increased with decrease of the initiator concentration and medium content and increase of the total solid content. The particle size distribution was broad with increase of the initiator concentration and total solid content and was narrowed with increase of the medium content. PMMA beads prepared by multi-steps emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization method were prepared about 1㎛ diameter beads with small size(about 0.2㎛) PBA(po1y butyl acrylate) latex were prepared by emulsion polymerization. the effect of the concentration of electrolytes and initiator and AA(acrylic acid) content on the particle size and CFC(critical flocculation concentration) and CSC(critical sedimentation concentration) of prepared latex was investigated by LS and UV(ultra violet) Particle size increased with increase of the concentration of Na^+ ion and initiator and decrease of the AA content. CFC and CSC increased with decreased of the concentration of Na^+ ion and increase of the initiator concentration and AA content.
