Early people's needs and effort for belief, morality, science, and history have been synthetically expressed by myth. Myth is for early people to generalize religion, science, or history. The ancients believed that all things were made through some spiritual power of the universe. Also they thought that there was the accommodational and responsive relation between all nature and human being and worshiped one of them as the origin or a guardian of their clans, or the symbol of group. Even some spirit power was personalized and some symbols were deified. For them, myth was the supreme absolute standing rule as well as a solemn and divine fact. Because all events of the ancients were performed along with God, myth was existence allowing God and human being to become one. Considering that myth is entire oral traditions of group life, its part is clearly history of posterity and foundations of building a country. This study examines literariness of the myth of Jumong through the analysis of its structure and idea and general influence of myth. The analysis of its structure and idea is divided into space and time for consideration. First, for the space structure, a space understood in Korean epic literature generally includes Heaven, the present world, an immortal world, and the Drangon King's Palace, but the space of the myth of Junmong mainly consists of Heaven and the present world. The space of the myth of Jumong is framed with a structure of returning between Heaven and the present world. First, Heaven, a ideal space with divinity and eternity, appears in Habaekgung Palace. The structure of Habaekgung Palace is examined by dividing paragraphs centering on 「King Dongmyeong's Story」. A real world where human being lives, the present world with limitation is treated centering on Buyeo Kingdom. The meaning of returning to Heaven after experiencing human life seems an expression of people's spirit for being. Heaven and earth representing a founder's divinity and eternity is also a space world and is operated with time that means that the universe accords with time and space after all. Therefore, secondly, the order and structure of time of the myth of Jumong are considered. Birth, achievements, death, and ascension of Jumong are classified according to the order of time. A novel birth is people's belief expression and ideal that their founder is a very special being who comes from Heaven. Such national spirit is well showed in Jumong's activities including Various novel events, building Goguryeo, and ascension after 18 years he mounted the throne. The myth of Jumong is human-centered literature that is made by focusing on human being within the relation between God and human being, between nature and human being, and between animal and human being. The myth of Jumong covering God+human being+nature as a universal view attempts to organically translate the relation between God and human being, using animals and plants as a medium. The fact that Haemosu never appears in the myth of Jumong after Yuhwa has a baby shows an expression of human-centered values that God is naturally disappeared, when human's matter becomes important. The idea of God is characterized by strong human-centered though: that God serves for human being. Judging from the fact that a universal view formed throughout the myth of Jumong is Heaven and human being, tile interpretation of literature Is very important in the light of culturalization. A basic cultural phenomenon is formed and desired in the relation between God and human being and between nature and human being. Human being's generation as well as religion and folk customs starts from here.
