The various conflicts happen and conventional authority falls in all fields of society owing to its democratization and the revelation of civil consciousness of right. It is not exception in the medical area. Patients who have regarded medical treatment as indebtedness to doctor simply, change their position to demand for doing them the honor due to their own position as the consumer of medical services. In consequence, agreements, rules and declaration are adopted by physician as the guiding principle in action and attitude towards the treatment of patients, and futhermore, laws and regulations for the protection of their right are established. This study aims to investigate this social phenomenon and the problems of modern medical treatment and establish the proper relation between physician and patients in accordance with this phenomenon. In particular, this study attempts to deal with physician's ethics because he has frequent opportunities to contact patients directly during medical treatment. In addition, this study, through Robert Veach's theory of four models, tries to look into an ideal relation between them in accordance with our times escaping from the conventionally the priestly model, and attempts to suggest the most ideally desirable physician's ethics applying four principles concerning the physician's ethics. In fact, the physicians is mostly above his patients in real life. So this fact must be recognized, but it is necessary to study our broad institutional change and the necessity of improving medical institution for the cultivation of the physician's ethics. recognition of human dignity, and inspiration of love for patients. It can be said that the physicians as a professional exists not for his own living but for cure of patients' disease. Most important thing is for the physicians to realize his own obligation or duty clearly. Therefore, the physicians should have his own occupational consciousness that he enjoys his own job as the physicians caring for precious life as well as worker evaluating means of livelihood. By doing this, he will be respectable in accordance with his social reputation. Reverence for life, pity for human being, and sincerity will be expected to the physicians by patients. These are the basic virtues required to him because medical science is on the basis of these virtues. Unless medical science has them, it will finally lead human being to destruction no matter how much development we will meet.
