PTE 전·후 STS 시 편마비 환자군과 건강한 성인군 각각에서 체중지지율 차이(difference of weight distribution)와 내외측 자세동요(mediolateral body sway), 그리고 환측 및 건측에 부하 되는 체중지지율(weight bearing of affected and nonaffected sides)을 비교하기 위하여 Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test를 실시하였고(p<0.05), 편마비 환자군과 건강한 성인군의 체중지지율 차이와 내외측 자세동요를 비교하기 위하여 Mann-Whitney U Test를 실시하였다(p<0.05).

This study have investigated to find therapeutical effects of pelvic tilt exercise(PTE) on weight bearing and body sway during sit to stand (STS) on 18 hemiplegic patients who had visited Hanyang University Seoul Hospital and Injae University Sanggyebek Hospital physiotherapy room by comparing them with 18 normal adults. The subjects were sampled out from those who can get up indepen- dently, maintain a standing posture more than 10 seconds, understand the movements of this study and have no difficulty in the conduct. Tests were carried out from Mar. 4, 2002 to Apr. 6, 2002. By executing STS in a natural way with habitual movements before and after PTE, the weight bearing and body sway was measured by using Mediance II. In order to compare the difference of weight distribution and mediolateral body sway, and weight bearing loaded on affected and nonaffected sides during STS before and after PTE, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test were used. The statistical significance level was based on p<0.05. In order to compare the hemiplegic and healthy group, they were tested with Mann-Whitney U Test(p<0.05). Furthermore, To elucidate the correlations of weight bearing and body sway, Spearman Ranks Test were executed and their statistical significance level was based on p<0.01. Resultant findings follow as: 1. The difference of weight distribution in the hemiplegic group indicated 16.22±13.88% and 12.84±11.31% respectively during STS before and after PTE, and the mediolateral body sway pointed to 16.07±12.96% and 14.95±11.99% respectively. The result showed a significant decrease statistically during STS after PTE, rather than that before PTE (p0.05). 3. The difference of weight distribution and mediolateral body sway were significantly increased in the hemiplegic group more than the healthy group statistically during STS between before and after PTE (p<0.05). 4. Weight bearing loaded on the affected side showed 42.53±7.65% and 44.20±6.32%, respectively, in the hemiplegic group during STS before and after PTE. That during STS after PTE is increased significantly, as compared with that before PTE(p<0.05). 5. The coefficients between weight bearing and body sway showed 0.744 and 0.737, respectively, during STS before and after PTE in the hemiplegic group, and it proved significant correlation statistically(p<001). As mentioned, PTE was proved to be effective for improvement in weight bearing on the affected side and body sway during STS of hemiplegic patients.
