The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between career maturity and career preparation behavior of college students. For this purpose, an analysis on relating of career maturity and career preparation behavior according to gender and school year was conducted with 345 students of J university being selected and responding to a survey. Career Maturity Inventory and Career Preparation Behavior were used in evaluating the data. The Data was processed using descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test, Scheffe-test and correlation analysis with SPSS 10.0. The results of this study were as follows: First, career maturity according to gender did not have any meaningful correlations, but its lower factor did have a meaningful conclusion. Compromise and the involvement of female students more than male students did provide meaningful results(p<.05). Regarding analysis according to the school year, career maturity develops as the students advance to a higher class in the university(p<.05). Second, career preparation behavior according to gender was much higher for female students than male students, but did not have a meaningful result( p<.05). Third, The relationship of career maturity to career preparation behavior did have meaningful positive correlations(p<.001). The lower factors of career maturity, the relation of decisiveness, compromise, orientation to career preparation behavior provided meaningful positive correlations. The relationship according to gender showed meaningful positive correlations for female students on a higher scale than male students(p<.0l). Regarding the relationship of career maturity to career preparation behavior according to school year, sophomores were depicted as having the most meaningful correlations. While seniors had lower meaningful correlations or none at all. These finding show that seniors have more career preparation behavior than juniors, but a career maturity lower than juniors. The reason for this is because seniors have experienced a career barrier that developed as their career maturity was interrupted.
