We investigated the Flora on the Distribution Zone of Cammellia japonica in Korean peninsula on 7 regions- Ulleungdo islet area, Chejudo islet area, Jeollanamdo-Jeollabukdo islet area, Jeollanamdo-Jeollabukdo coast & inland area, Gyeongsangnarndo-Gyeongsangbukdo islet area, Gyeongsangnarndo-Gyeongsangbukdo coast & inland area, Chungcheongnamdo coast area and etc, based on the preceeding references and research data for the Ministry of Environment, from May 1st, 2003 to April 30th, 2004. Vascular plants of this area consist of 3 forma, 50 varieties, 411 species, 278 genera, 102 families and 37 orders. A further 9 species of naturalized plants, 14 species of Korean endemic plants, 35 species of evergreen broad-leaf tree, Rare and endangered plants include 2 taxa: Cypsinus hastatus, Milletia japonica. The life form spectrum on the total 464 species which appeared in this research was as follows : Phanerophyte 44.2%, Geophyte 20.9%, Hemicryptophyte 19.2%, Therophyte 9.7%, Chamaephye 4.9%, Epiphytes 1.1%. We also compared and analyzed the Flora Zone of Cammellia japonica by regional groups and the result showed that Gyeongsangnarndo-Gyeongsangbukdo islet area and islet area have many evergreen broad-leaf trees than other areas relatively. The reason is that the temperature and humidity in this region are higher than the average and islet area has less interference of human than coast & inland area. Naturalized plants also revealed more in Gyeongsangnarndo-Gyeongsangbukdo islet area relatively. We considered this reason that near seashore like traffic routes and harbor cities where are many barters daily is more easier to flow in naturalized plants. We discovered that Ulleungdo islet area and Chejudo islet area have a lot of Korean endemic plants, because these natural environments are more preserved than land. We could also see that floristic region Grade Ⅲ appeared on islet area and floristic region Grade Ⅳ appeared on Ulleungdo islet area and Chejudo islet area. We also concluded that the reason of this result is the regional characteristic of isolated island, that is, there are less interference of human actions.
