알고리즘은 5종류의 신경망을 MAE(Mean Absolu Error), MSE(Mean SDuared Error), SSE(Sum Of Squared Error), R(Regression), 및 집행시간의 5가지 성능척도에 근거를 두고 비교하여 최선이라고 판단된 "trainscg"를 본 논문에서 사용하였다.

Irregular inter-departure time due to the lack of timeliness results from not having the right allocation scheme of buses. This irregular inter-departure time causes heavy traffic jam and inefficient bus operation such as less passengers. BIS(Bus Information System) provides the bus arrival times but also the guideline of statistical management for real-time control of bus operation. Through these functions, inter-departure time can be maintained consistently and the passengers can take advantage of safety and convenience. The purpose of this paper is to develop a forecasting algorithm for bus arrival times in the BIS which is a part of the ITS(Intelligence Transportation System). The algorithm developed then is applied to the high-density(in Group City) and low-density(in Yongin City) traffic data in order to prove the correctness and the precision of the algorithm. Finally we can provide passengers with the expected bus arrival times on-line. Five types of artificial neural networks were tested, based on five measures of perfomance; MAE(Mean Absolute Error), MSE(Mean Squared Error), SSE(Sum Of Squared Error), R(Regression), and execution time). As a result of this testing, "trainscg" was selected as the aigorithm of this study. The conclusions of this experiment is as follows: The time interval that had fewer traffic had better be removed from the experiment to reduce the algorithm's execution time. A large number of input variables did not necessarily give the best results. The best result came from the high-density data rather than the low-density data. As the future research, we have to consider other types of performance measures, different number of learning times, use of the real-time data from GPS, abnormal circumstances, and influencing input variabies.
