Thanks to the forte and piano dynamics by the new executions of piano when this work was composed(1803-1804), Beethoven's piano sonata 『Waldstein』op. 53 made new ways of expression and musical performance in touch that is distinguished from formal musical works. The new piano “Erard piano” had more expanded high-pitched tone than former pianos, and Beethoven could show new area of the high-pitched tone through the developed musical instrument and brilliant musical performance effects when this work was composed. Beethoven's 『Waldstein』 had larger scale than former sonatas to use this Erard piano; It also had relations between melody, rhythm, and dynamic of opposed organizations in the music and make a bold attempt. This relationship of development of musical instrument and musical works could be described by comparing with Beethoven's piano sonata op. 2-3 which had distinct difference of subject and ability of musical instrument from musical works composed with Walter piano which was used before 『Waldstein』 and Erard piano. Thus, the relationship of musical instrument and musical subjects that the work had, could be considered by that of analysis of musical performance. On this assumption, as a pianist, I tried to show how musical subjects changed as a musical instrument developed in order to find out a way of new analysis of musical performance. So I compared analyses of original version(Henle) and interpretation version(Ricodri) about 『Waldstein』, and that is the main object of this report. This report about Beethoven's piano sonata 『Waldstein』 which shows the analysis of musical performance through the comparison of two different versions of analysis about 『Waldstein』, first shows that a work and the development of a musical instrument have close relationship, and the development of a musical instrument plays an important role in the history of music secondly. Finally this report brings possibility of new analysis of musical performance. I could find possibility of new analysis of musical performance on the way of trying to study how to figure out essential appearances that Beethoven intended on his work while playing Beethoven's.
