The Purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the Regular Dance sports program on the physiological function, physical function, mental health and perceived health state, and suggest a intervention program designed to prevention health problem of old women more than 60 years old. Research method used in this study was an non-equivalent control group pre-test and post-test design in quasi-experimental research. The total subjects of this study were 37 old wonmen, who were assigned to experimental group 20 and control group 17. The experimental group were selected from the old people's welfare center in G-city and control group were selected from the gather's house of old people. The experimental group participated the Regular Dance sports program but the control group did not receive treatment. The enforcement period of Dance sports program was total 12 weeks from October 27, 2003 to January 16, 2004 and the program were consisted of three sessions a week during 12 weeks. Each session had three parts: warming up(10 minutes), main exercise(40 minutes), finishing(10 minutes) The data were analysed by x^(2)-test, Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test Using the SPSS 11.0 Program. The results were as follows. 1. After regular Dance Sports program old woman's blood pressure (systolic pressure, diastolic pressure) and resting heart rate related physiological function is no significant difference(p>.05) in the between experimental group and control group, but the body fat rate is significant difference(p<05). 2. After regular Dance Sports program old woman's back strength and grip strength(left, right) related physical function is significant difference(p.05). 3. After regular Dance Sports program total score of old woman's mental health score is significant difference(p<.05) in the between experimental group and control group. 4. After regular Dance Sports program old woman's perceived health status is significant difference(p<.05) in the between experimental group and control group. Thus this study concluded that this Regular Dance Sports program will be a more effective improvement of physiological function, physical function, mental health and perceived health status for old woman more than 60 years old. Thus, the following suggestions might be offered on the basis of the result. 1. It is recommended that study for lasting effectiveness of Regular Dance Sports program on old women more than 60 years old on physiological function, physical function, mental health and perceived health status should be repeated. 2.It is recommended that the Regular Dance Sports program should be prevented old women' health problem.
