한국어교육에서의 효율적인 피동 교수 방안 : 한·일 대조 분석을 중심으로 Efficient Instruction Method for Teaching Passive Expression Korean : Focusing on the Comparative Analysis between Korean and Japanese원문보기

Comparative analysis between Korean and Japanese in passive expression reveals this efficient instruction. Although there are many similarities between Korean and Japanese, they are apparently different in passive expression. Comparative analysis between Korean and Japanese in passive expression is divided into two aspects: morphologic and semantic aspects. Korean has various passive expressions such as '-이/히/리/기-', '-아/어지다', predicative noun + '-되-/받-/당하-' and so on, while Japanese has simple passive structure that is composed by adding「-(ら)れる」 to '미연형' of verb. Moreover, in the case of Korean, the conversion into passive form by combination of '-아/어지다' with verb and adjective is more productive than combining with passive suffix. Passive forms of both intransitive verb and transitive verb are possible in Japanese, but passive form of intransitive verb is not permitted in Korean. Especially, intransitive verb's passive form for expressing 'damage' in Japanese is translated into active expression of Korean because of unnatural direct translation. This is the most outstanding morphologic difference between Korean and Japanese. And mode variation of the predicate accompanies case and postposition variation. Research of instruction and learning method indicates asymmetric structure of passive expression between Korean and Japanese, and its regularity. In addition, this research presents the relationship between passive and causative expressions and their characteristics in the aspects of morphology and semantics. Textbooks of domestic Korean language education institutions treat passive expression in the viewpoint of grammar. However, this research derives learner's error data for analysis, not from learner's speaking but from writing. Analysis from Japanese intermediate and graduate students shows that error in passive expression is caused not by the effects of native language but by the internal error and complicacy of learning language, transition between different languages and insufficient instruction in education process. Lastly, this research presents practical instruction method in actual class in five stages.
