The study was conducted to investigate the planting environment and design of used in indoor garden On the focus of educational facilities at Daegu city, korea. The results were summarized as following: 1. Indoor garden was mainly used as decorative function (52.5%). 2. Most of indoor gardens was constructed on year 2003(36%), 2004 (30%), 2002(15%), and 2001(4%) in order. The structure of indoor garden was with entrance style(52%) and count style(48%). 3. Indoor garden had planter type(56%), container type(36%), mix type(4%), garden type(4%). The materials of planter and container were mostly consisted of wood and log, and 40% of all materials used. 4. Aaverage temperature and humidity of indoor garden were 15℃ and 6.4%(RH) respectively, and light intensity was 2.7-7.5μ㏖ · m-² · s-¹. 5. Garden materials were with artificial(34%), natural(34%), waterscape(27%) and animal one(5%) in order. 6. Indoor garden plants are used Hedera helix, Nandiana domestica(35%), Spathiphyllum patinii, Ophiopogon grandis(26%), Anthurium andreanum, Araucaria excelsa, Epipremnum aureum, Rhapis excelsa(22%), Acorus gramineus, Ardisia pusilla, Chamaedorea elegans, Ophiopogon japonicus, Philodendron sellum (17%) in order. 7. Plant form, plant texture and plant color in Indoor garden were too simple and monotonous because of lack of variety of plants. As a result of application of the design technique to the indoor gardens, grouping (47%), streaming (25%), terracing (16%), clustering, enumerating (13%), gradation, zoning (9%), framing, hanging, piling (6%) were used.
