Sanjo has become a completed form as a Korean traditional music in late 19th century effected by folk music, sinawi, and pansori. there are various types of gayageum sanjo. Seong geum yeon ryu gayageum sanjo consists of anaphora and invariable beat, which gives an effect of neatness and clearness Seong geum yeon ryu gayageum sanjo is also well-known for pompous and bright melody by changing of a grace note and 'chung'. This study is to identify the difference between tension and release in jajinmori, and analyze the characteristic of beat or tune that appears in 'release melody in tension' and 'tension melody inside release' and 'bridgescale' jajinmori is made up of 213 components. The result of the analysis focused on 'tension and release', ‘release melody in tension’, 'tension melody inside release' and 'bridgescale of tension and release' is as followed. Firstly, 'tension melody' is composed of total 112 segments; 28 segments in gaemyunjo, 8 segments in woo-jo, and 9 segments in gyung-de-reom . These 112 segments take first of half jajinmori melody and have uprising melody structure with complicate rhythm structure which consist of duple and triple time. It also has subdivided melody structure that gives impression of intensed melody. Secondly, 'release melody in tension' has total 8 segments; 2 segmens in gaemyunjo, 4 segments in woojo and 2 segments in kyung de reum. There are many melody segments included that ease down-fall structure of the previous release melody part by applying duple and triple time harmony. This characteristic induce stable impression out of tension. Thirdly, 'tension bridgescale melodies' are made of total 45 segments ; gaemyunjo28 segments , woojo 8 segments and kyung de reum 9 segments. This melody is broadly used in various tunes. Fourthly, 'release melody' consists of total 34 segments ; gaemyunjo 27 segments, woojo 6 segments and kyung de reum 1 segment. This release melody part has down-fall melody structure with regularly repeated intervals that gives impression of stable melody. It appears mainly in moo melody , and has both up-rising and down-fall structure evenly with simple melody. It gives a tensed expression of melody inside comfort. Fifthly, 'tension melody inside release' has 2 segments in gaemyunjo, 4 segments in woojo, however there are no segments in kyung de reum. We can see agradual up-rising structure at beginning part and down-fall structure at the end. This melody types can adumbrate next melody by repetition of various rhythm and same melody It is mainly used for the play style to depress or scribble a tone. And it works as a bridge that connects the feeling of the two different parts rather than expresses tension. Sixthly, 'release bridgescale melodies' are made up of in gaemyunjo 5 segments, kyung de reum 8 segments appear but there is no segments in woojo. We can see this melody in kyung de reum and up-rising and down-fall melody structures appear freqeuntely, it performs as a bridge to connect the previous with the next melody rather than terminate melody, Seventhly, in comparison with 'tension and releade' and 'bridgescale melody', the distribution of tension melody appears in 112 segments, of 'releade inside tension' 8 segments, of 'bridgescale of tension' 45 segments, of release melody in 34 segments, of 'tension inside release' 6 segments and of 'bridgescale of release' 13 segments. Tension melody is so important as to take almost half of whole. In result, in Sung, Keumyeon Ryu Gayagum Sanjo Jajinmori, the 'tension melody' makes half of the Sanjo. Also, 'composure of release' can be expressed distinctively in Sung, Keumyeon Ryu Gayagum Sanjo because tension take more part in melody structure than release melody.
