(The) effect of creatine supplementation on serum biochemical components and the patella isokinetic strength in high school judokas원문보기

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of creatine supplementation on weight & body composition, urinary creatinine, serum Cr, CK, LDH, and knee joint isokinetic muscle power in high school judokas For this study, eight high school judokas were recruited. All subjects intake creatine or placebo during 6 day (20g^(-1day)). weight, body composition, serum Cr, CK, LDH and isokinetic muscle power were measured. Weight and body composition was no significant different after creatine supplementation. Serum CK was a trend to increase, However serum LDH and Cr level was significantly increased after creatine supplementation (p<.05). Isokinetic muscle power showed there was no significant different but slightly increased after creatine supplementation. Based on these results, creatine supplementation (6 day, 20g^(-1day)) showed significantly but partially could increase performance. these were caused by different creatine retention, adaptation degree to training, period and quantity to intake creatine. Especially, as to previous study, maximal creatine content in skeletal muscle could be induced by both creatine and carbohydrate supplementation, thus further study is need to investigate the effect of creatine (and carbohydrate) supplementation on skeletal muscle metabolism on Carbohydrate (CHO)/Cr and sport performance which need maximal strength.
