(Abstract) Recently, the most important aspect of cyber teaching-learning activities is that learners, teachers, and other experts can communicate their opinions and information synchronously and asynchronously over online telecommunication networks. Notably, at distance learning colleges which highly depend on these teaching media, learners will weaken their learning motivation as they are deprived of face-to-face contacts with their professors who otherwise can influence learners. Thus, it is very necessary to research and develop and help do appropriate educational courses, teaching methods and other educational systems designed to inspire and retain learners' motivation, boosting the importance of teaching media. The attribute of the Web as one of these media enables the provision and exchange of diverse forms of information and data on the strength of multimedia functionality, and this fact has yet to deserve drawing sufficient attention since such Web attribute can link to the boosting of the effect of learning. However, this research assumed that contents provision types can influence learning types depending on how to integrate education media for high education on the basis of the analysis of domestic e-learning contents trends and previous research; an ideal courseware design model was studied by applying teaching media strategies on the basis of the analysis of teaching media types used in the domestic high education environment. The results of this research are outlined as follows. First, in distance education involving no face-to-face contacts between teachers and learners and the use of media, appropriate media selection is essential for ensuring the effect of learning; an analysis of previous research confirmed that there is the ASSURE model that can effectively utilize these teaching media. Second, previous research and e-learning contents types from the six domestic distance learning colleges were analyzed to produce strategies on e-learning contents trends and, based on these results, a macro-level strategy was formulated on the whole learning affair with the aim of the development of e-learning contents, before micro-level strategies on individual themes were devised. These strategies are expected to be effectively used for the design of well-structured interfaces necessary for effective learning focused on learners rather than on teachers. Lastly, given that in connection with design and principles and development criteria, well-organized efforts for effective teaching are necessary to design and develop e-learning contents using new media, this research, with a view to securing the quality superiority of e-learning contents, presented theoretical grounds for learning structure design on the basis of design strategies involving the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation ) model that retains the whole elements in contents development stages instead of individual elements in time-sequential development stages and allows for a close-knit relationship of such elements. Multimedia contents development strategies proposed herein using teaching media are based on general characteristics of distance learning colleges and learners' environments, and provides the learning effect gained from face-to-face learning; meanwhile, multimedia lecture-type contents proposed herein can use the advantages of teaching media, and provide second-hand experience opportunities similar to reality, making this research meaningful.
