SCP concrete girder(Steel-Confined Prestressed Concrete Girder) is a compound of inner concrete and outer steel sheets surrounding it. Thus, SCP concrete girder does not need reinforcing rods within concrete, which saves the time for reinforcing rod processing and assembly, and thus this improves the time efficiency. Besides, since outer steel sheets play the role of mold, there is no need to install pipe supports and mold, which shows this method is a new concept of bridge formation that is structurally excellent, and economical in terms of material costs and convenience of construction work. This study includes the experiment regarding the compound process of steel materials and concrete in an effort to develop SCP concrete girder. This experiment was conducted by means of a push-out test-body, which has been commonly used in existing experiments, and the variables are whether reinforcing rods were used in concrete, concrete specified compressive strength, and the diameter and height of studs for compounding of steel materials and concrete. Based on the plane shear test, the load causing initial crack and ultimate load were measured, the effect of the test variables on the compounding of steel materials and concrete. In addition, the features of crack and fracture were analyzed, and damages to studs were investigated too. This process of analysis aimed to provide the fundamental data to propose the basis for designing shear connector materials of SCP concrete girder. As a result, it turned out that as the diameter of studs increase to 16mm, 19mm, and 22mm, the ultimate load increased proportionally, and that securing the proper stud diameter is of importance in compounding of steel materials and concrete. In addition, it turned out changing stud heights to 100mm and 120mm did not result in any outstanding difference to the ultimate strength, and changing the concrete strength to 30MPa, 35MPa, 40MPa did not cause any difference either, which indicates that the stud height does not have meaningful effect on the compounding of steel materials and concrete. Although when the concrete was reinforced with rods, the ultimate strength was a lot more increased than that of concrete without reinforcing rods. Besides, the strength was different when the used rods were of 16mm, 19mm, and 20mm respectively, which shows that such factors as difficulty of construction, increase of dead weight should be considered when it comes to the necessity of reinforcing rods, and there should be additional study in that regard.
