Due to the advancement of industrialization and the growth in economy, society and culture, human consumption of materials and resources have also increased. And with increase in consumption there is also an increase in waste. People live in abundance of resources, yet we are also faced with many problems arising from environmental pollution. There are many factors that give rise to environmental pollution, and the variety of hazardous wastes causes a myriad of harm and damage. The harm from hazardous wastes to earth's ecology is one obvious example, but the greatest threat is to the inhabitants of this planet. The objective of this research is to analyze the variety of damage to humans arising from hazardous wastes, and to use the findings to examine the feasibility of creating preventive hygienic conditions. The scope of the environmental pollution research focused on air pollution and water pollution, and the research on pollutants focused on chemical pollution. In order to meet the objectives of the above mentioned research, the methodology relied on the analysis of published documents, as well as research studies, and various related sources from print and internet media. By way of the findings from the research, a direct correlation between hazardous wastes and air and water pollution was established. Hazardous metal wastes were also analyzed and categorized. In order to examine the possibility of creating preventive measures against the dangers of hazardous wastes, a systematized evaluation on the health effects was reached. Due to the toxicity from metallic wastes, the far reaching effects they have on humans include the central nervous system, the kidneys, forming an addictive tendency on the hematogenesis system, as well as contributing to auto-immune diseases, atopyic dermatitis, and loss of hair. Such pollution from metallic wastes is caused by large scale redevelopment, reconstruction, and other industrial projects. In addition, through the health impact assessment, it can be determined that further research in the effects of preventive measures is necessary.
