The purpose of this study was to analyze the Biomechanical elements by looking at the differences on the motions of the diver's hurdle jump and the close step jump of right-handed offense volleyball players, using 3D image analysis and force platform. For that purpose, spike motions of four female junior highschool volleyball players were recorded three times each using two high speed cameras and the speed of recording was set at 120 frames/sec. The coordinated raw data was leveled as 6Hz using low pass filtering method and the calculation of 3D coordinates was done by DLT (Direct Linear Transformation) method. Also KWON 3DXP program was used to analyze the variables. Through the experiments and research, the following results were found: 1. In the spike motions, both types of step required same amount of time. But in the take-off motions and the suspension, the close step required more time than the diver's hurdle. 2. On total distance of the pace the close step was longer than the diver's hurdle 3. On the maximum height of the body center, the close step was higher than the diver's hurdle. 4. Minimum in degree of knee joint and hip joint of take-off motions for the close step was smaller than the twin feet close step, which indicated that it used leg joint more. 5. The horizontal speed in an approach run and the perpendicular speed on take-off motions for the close step was faster than the diver's hurdle. 6. The role as a brake of right foot in the diver's hurdle was bigger than the close step, while the left foot was bigger in the close step. 7. The perpendicular impulse in the diver's hurdle increased by the similar size, but the impulse on the right foot is bigger than that on the left foot in the close step. In sum, it is shown that the close step and the diver's hurdle required same amount of time in the spike motions, in the take-off motions and the suspension, the close step required more time than the diver's hurdle. In case of the total distance of the pace, the close step was longer than the diver's hurdle. In addition to this, the close step was higher than the diver's hurdle on the maximum height of the body center. Moreover, minimum in degree of knee joint and hip joint of take-off motions for the close step was smaller than the diver's hurdle and this indicated that it used leg joint more. It was also shown that the horizontal speed in an approach run and the perpendicular speed on take-off motions for the close step was faster than the diver's hurdle.
