또한 공간적으로 다양화된 신호 검출을 위해 ZF(Zero Forcing), MMSE(Minimum Mean Square Error), OSIC(Ordered Successive Interference Cancelation), ML(Maximum Likelihood) 기법 적용하고, 그 성능을 비교 분석하고자 한다.

Ultra-wideband (UWB) technique has attracted significant academic and commercial interest because of its capability to overlay spectrum with legacy narrowband radios and its potential to deliver high data rates over short distances. However, the transmission rate of such signaling is limited by the channel excess delay in order to avoid excessive intersymbol interference (ISI). In addition, the low transmission power limits the system RF range. In order to solve the disadvantage of UWB, Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technique can be used to exploit spatial diversity. Furthermore, the performance of UWB systems can be improved by using the Rake receiver to reap the benefits of multipath diversity. In this paper, the performance of UWB MIMO systems in dense multipath environments implemented by using Matlab. Binary pulse position modulation(2PPM) time hopping(TH) UWB signals and binary pulse amplitude modulation(2PAM) direct sequence(DS) UWB signals are transmitted to the channel area. In the receiver, various MIMO detection algorithms such as zero-forcing (ZF), ZF-ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC), minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE), MMSE-OSIC and maximum likelihood (ML) are comparatively studied and partial Rake receivers for MIMO are considered. The simulation results show that the ML receiver offers the best performance and the OSIC detection schemes provide better performance than the correspondent ZF and MMSE due to the implicit diversity gain, and the performance of 2PAM-TH-UWB MIMO systems is considerably superior to that of 2PPM-DS-UWB MIMO systems. It has been observed that under some channel conditions, the BER performance of UWB-MIMO systems can be enhanced when the number of received antennas and Rake fingers are large.
