소아당뇨 아동의 스트레스, 부모-자녀관계 그리고 또래관계가 심리사회적 적응에 미치는 영향 (The) effect of stress, parenting and peer relations on psychosocial adjustment of capital with type 1 diabetes원문보기

Psychosocial adjustment of capital with type 1 diabetes encounters a great difficulty in not only parenting relations, but also peer relations due to the periodical characteristics. However, the pain of infants with type 1 diabetes is neglected and intervention toward the infants is yet insufficient. This study attempts to demonstrate their psychosocial adjustment through a wide discussion about psychosocial adjustment of capital with type 1 diabetes and also to seek plan for a balance intervention in terms of diabetes related stress, and parenting as well as peer relations. This study has collected data based on the survey about stress, parenting relations, and peer relations from type 1 diabetes patients of 2 general hospitals in Seoul area and 114 of infant with type 1 diabetes who participated in seminar as well as Summer Type 1 Diabetes Camp in which internet club has held. Moreover, analysis has enforced through technical analysis, t-test, and multi-revolution analysis. The results are same as below. First of all, diabetes related stress level of capital with type 1 diabetes is appeared higher than the level of stress shown from the existing study accomplished on the basis of adults. Since they are shown as considering that they are giving a heavy burden on their families with their disease, they are more likely to feel pressure with guilty that they give economic burden on their parents in terms of insulin injection or treatment. Secondly, parenting relations of capital with type 1 diabetes are mostly favorable. However, the parents tend to show a high level of excessive protection toward the children with type 1 diabetes. The capitals with type 1 diabetes are excessively protected by their parents because the parents think their children get the disease due to their misbehavior or interfere in a dietary treatment. Thirdly, the peer relations of type 1 diabetes patients are way lower than average. The capital with type 1 diabetes has difficulties to maintain a normal school life due to repeated treatment or entering/leaving hospital and they tend to suffer from active social activity participation to build peer relations. Fourth, psychosocial adjustment level of the capital with type 1 diabetes is way behind the average. Inner problem is comparably higher than appearing problem. Fifth, diabetes related stress of the capital with type 1 diabetes is shown to give meaningful impact partially on psychosocial adjustment. Though diabetes relate stress greatly affects to such dispirit, depression, and anxiety, it presents a low grade for appearing problem; therefore, it does not have a meaningful difference. Sixth, parenting relations of the capital with type 1 diabetes generally affect to psychosocial adjustment. If the trust is low in the relationships with parents, the influence occurring dispirit, depression, and anxiety is highly appeared and the method of bringing up with denial and love deficient household promotes offensive strength. Seventh, peer relations of the capital with type 1 diabetes meaningfully affect to a partial psychosocial adjustment. Although it is not yet able to give impact on delinquency and offensive strength which are appearing problems, it meaningfully affects to dispirit, depression, and anxiety. As a result, not only reduction of diabetes related stress, but also balanced approach including parenting and peer relations are required for collective psychosocial adjustment of the capital with type 1 diabetes. In terms of theoretical implications, this study firstly has a meaning as a study demonstrating psychosocial adjustment of the children with type 1 diabetes other than general children. Secondly, it is meaningful with supplementation of the limit appeared from the existing studies about psychosocial adjustment of the children with type 1 diabetes. In terms of practical implications, firstly it has significance as a study which demonstrates characteristics about psychosocial adjustment of the children with type 1 diabetes. Secondly, it has a practical meaning of balanced intervention as promoting vitalization of social welfare intervention about psychosocial adjustment of the children with type 1 diabetes if intervention is accomplished based on the fact that diabetes related stress, negative parenting relations, and peer estrangement gives a meaningful impact on psychosocial adjustment of the children with type 1 diabetes.
