The present study on the Korean Lithistid Demospongia deals with the classification, description, geographical distribution and figures of the species with the key to species and higher taxa. The materials consist of the specimens which have kept DIMB(Depository Institution of Marine Bio-resources) Hannam University and collected by SCUBA diving, gillnet and trawlnet fishing boat from 10 localities, depth 25-100m, including Jeju Island and Geomundo Island in Korea from 1982 to 2011. Sixteen species of Lithistid Demospongiae (Rock sponges) are identified. All of them are classified into three genera of two families. Among them, two species are new to science and three species are newly recorded species in Korea. They are as follows: Microscleoderma n. sp., Discodermia n. sp., Microscleoderma hirusutum Kirkpatrick, 1903, Discodermia aspera Carter, 1880, Discodermia discifera (Lendenfeld, 1907), Discodermia irregularis Hoshino, 1976. The following ten species are recorded from Korea; D. calyx, D discifurca, D. emarginate, D. gorgonoides, D. japonica, D. kiiensis, D. koreana, D. panoplia, D. tuberosa, T. swinhoei. With regard to the distribution of 16 sponges, All species were found in Jejudo Island. Two species, D. calyx and D. emarginate are collected from Geomundo Island. Jejudo Island shows the most diverse Lithistid Demospongiae(Rock sponges), compared with the rest three regions in Korean waters. Almost of Rock sponges are distributed in 25-100m deep of water.
