Metal relics, in burial environment, are maintained relatively in steady state but after excavation, as soon as being exposed to atmosphere, they are corroded rapidly due to chemical combination between oxide and water in soil, and oxygen. Bronze relics show difference in corrosion oxide according to burial environments because they consist of alloy between copper and tin. They show difference in surface color especially according to constituent like acid, salt ion, alkalinity in soil. There is a difficult in reality that bronze relics, corroded according to constituent in soil like this, are estimated oxide by using analysis instruments and are preserved. The purpose of this paper is providing preliminary data of preservation by grasping changes according to color difference through naked eye observation of what is the main ingredients of corrosion oxide without using analysis instruments in observation of corrosion changes of bronze relics, excavated like that. Experiments analyzed corrosion shape and changes of color and corrosion products by providing repeatedly corrosion factors, identified in bronze relics. As a result of that experiment, most of the acid and base, salt ion, pH cause color change in bronze surface. What does show the little changes is influence of salt ion and what does show noticeable changes is changes, which are caused by pH. There is a corrosion generally from pH 2 to 13 and seeing the form of 2CuCl3Cu(OH)2, Azurite is expected and Bright Geen is being seen. The color of humulite, extracted from pH 2~13, is a Green, Blue and Black oxidation products and they have similar color with humulite, which adsorbed onto the excavated artifacts. As a result of using EDX analysis in analysis of corrosion products, extraction rate of Sn was increasing from pH 8 and at pH 10, 57.75% of Sn was extracted, which is a maximum titer. For these results, the study could know that factor, which shows color changes of bronze relics among constituents in soil, is a pH than salt ion and pH has more impact on bronze relics more than salt ion. Through these preliminary data, I thought that there will be more accurate diagnosis and judgement in planning preservation method after observing color condition of bronze relics' surface, excavated in dug remains, and grasping what is the main oxide.
