(Director: Professor Jae-Jun Ryu, D.D.S., M.S.D., Ph.D.) Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare stability and connection of variable implant abutments those used in difficult area using ready-made abutment. Material and Method: Implant system was external type(Branemark MK III, Nobelbiocare, Switzeland). And it was connected with three kinds customized abutments(Myplant??: ADDTECH, Korea. Procera??: Nobelbiocare, Switzeland. Metal UCLA: Ni-Cr alloy). Abutments was connected to 32Ncm with digital torque gauge and retightend in 32Ncm after 10minutes. The gap of connection was measured(screw-abutment, abutment-fixture). Also numerical value of initial torque was measured. The same specimen was held in the cyclic loading simulator(Instron 8871). After loading, removal torque was measured and compared the numerical value. Results: In all samples, the value of removal torques were decreased after cyclic loading; Myplant??: 16.05%, Procera??: 5.10%, Metal UCLA: 22.44% but the phenomenon of the screw loosening was not observed. The gaps of screw-abutment were; Myplant??: A: 55.017㎛, B: 127.847㎛, Procera??; A: 73.123㎛, B: 70.127㎛, Metal UCLA; A: 53.937㎛, B: 57.113㎛. The gaps of abutment-fixture were; Myplant??: 55.015㎛, Procera??: 60.877, Metal UCLA: 37.253㎛. Micro-CT was used to measre gaps between three components. Conclusion: we got significant results in gap A (Procera?? > Metal UCLA), gap B(Myplant?? > Procera??, Metal UCLA), gap C(Procera?? > Metal UCLA).
