The purpose of this study is to compare effect of Complex Training(EG: The group gave more weight on endurance training, PG: The group gave more weight on power training.) on Power, Strength, endurance and Skating performance of Sprint Speed Skating Player.
9 Sprint Speed Skating Players were recruited, but 2 players were excluded because of injury and private schedule. So, 7 players participated the test.
500n, 1,000m recoads, 100m, the starting zone of 500m, 200m, the starting zone of 1,000m were applied for Skating performance measurement. and to analyze the relationship between Skating performance and Power, strength, endurance were applied for measurement Wingate test, on the lower limbs Isokinetic Strength test and shuttle-run test. In the data, SPSS statistical package(version 12.0) were used to figure out the mean value and standard deviation. to analyze the relationship between group and time, two way repeated ANOVA was applied. and to analyze the relationship between Skating performance and Power, strength, endurance, Peason Correlation analysis Was applied. Statistical level of significance was set up as α= 0.05. The following results were proven through the study:
1. Even though the average record and best record of two groups showed shortening the timing, EG(The group gave more weight on endurance training) had the better performance than PG(The group gave more weight on power training).
2. According to the average and best record of 100m, the starting zone of 500m, of the two group, PG got the better record-reduction than EG.
3. Both groups showed positive correlation between records of 500m, 1,000m and power. However, there was the higher correlation shown at PG.
4. Both groups showed positive correlation between records of 500m, 1,000m and strength. However, there was the higher correlation shown at PG.
In conclusion, the result of this study was that both endurance focused complex training and Power focused complex training were all effective for the sprint speed skating players to reduce the record. Considering the importance of record reduction for the starting zone in sprint speed game, power focused training method can be more effective. However, due to the long period of the season, repeated intensified activities are demanded. Therefore, the endurance training must be carried out as well as power training.
