A Study of the American Society and Literary Education through Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

This thesis is an attempt to examine the study of the irrational social phenomenon, humanity, racial discrimination on the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which is made up of an intentionally educational attempt through literature by Mark Twain, and this study helps increase awareness of our nation's multiple cultures as well.
The contemporary social background in America in the 19th establishes the process of industrial society, which causes the imbalance in society and losing their nature human, and he satires inhumanity, mammonism, cruelty and immorality through this work.
Mark Twain's Having a observation through many experiences of various occupations like a pilot, a minor, journalist, editor and so on, and having some experiences in his childhood where she spent in Hannibal : All these factors lead to recreate the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
At first, what Mark Twain wants to satire is a denial in christianity. He gets to discover puritanism that is filled with curse, selfish and hypocritical, so Twain satirizes that christian treat weak people with hypocritical behavior, the useless of prayer, Bible, unenlightened people who don't have realize which one is right or wrong in religious groups. For this reason, Mark Twain has the choice of folk-beliefs being experienced and familiar with in childhood, that is the chief factor in leading this work.
Second, He satirizes riverain's being degenerated of human character, atrocious and violent in southern people: on human cruelty, mammonism, European feudalism and the aristocratic society in which reveals others' sore spot than admitting own's blame on committing.
Third, Twain satires racial discrimination at various angles which still existing in American society. Most Southern people on the attitude of Black American have the cruel of the discrimination. Huck also regards Jim Just as a negro slave before spending with each other on raft life. But Huck is touched by Jim's great affection After on raft life. So, Huck considers him to be a human being and think of him as a real friend.
Mark Twain explains white communities which is full of hypocrisy and selfishness as a cruel society but he explains black community which helps each other wisely, has great humanity even though they take at risk of their life.
What He wants to say in this work is people have self-conscious on this kind of social criticism, and suggest true society and human nature helping each other and giving them love with pity and sympathy.
