The book of Job deals with the problems of pain of the human, but does not give us reasonable and convincing explanations about the problems of suffering. The purpose of the book of Job is to confront us with God on the basis of faith beyond logic of compensation and gains-losses within the relationship between God and us, in more mature. In this study, I sought believers’ imagery God has wanted truly, as reconsidering Job’s changed life after passing through pains. That is to say, I looked at the process that Job in hardship has been getting to know God newly through his encounter with God, and I compared Job before meeting God with Job after meeting God. In particular, Job’s changed appearance appeared well in his last answer to God. Job’s last answer contains new perceptions and attitudes to God, Job himself, and the world including his friends. This paper is based on Job 42:1-6 which Job’s final answer to God is written. In chapter 2, I examined the general features of the book of Job. Here, I investigated its common and literary characteristics, its date, the relationship between the book of Job and the ancient texts related to it, and several studies of scholars related to the book of Job. In chapter 3, I searched the overall structure and the location of the book of Job in the Old Testament. In chapter 4, I looked at the structure and location of Job 42:1-6, and examined specifically the last answer of Job. On the basis of my exegesis, in chapter 5, I examined Job’s repentance and his changed appearance after passing through the pains and summarized Job’s new awareness, change, and maturity of faith.
