Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate effect on aggression of psychotic patient after applying anger management video program to psychotic patient. Methods: This study was an experimental research and used nonequivalent control-group pretest-posttest design. Study subjects were 18 patients for an experimental group and 18 for a control group-36 in total- who were psychotic patients (schizophrenie, affective disorder, alcohol dependence) hospitalized in a closed ward in H mental hospital, J city. The period for collecting data was from Aug. 1, 2013 to Oct. 15, 2013. The anger management video program was applied to experimental group 2 times a week for 60 minutes during 6 weeks (total 12 times). Data were analyzed using SPSS/PC WIN 21.0 program. Analysis methods were real number and percentage, average and standard deviation, test, t-test, paired t-test, and Repeated measure ANOVA. Results: The result of this study can be summarized as follows. Frequency of aggressive behavior of anger expression psychotic patient (anger, verbal aggression, physical aggression) were 2.56 of anger, 2.37 of verbal aggression, 2.36 of physical aggression, 2.33 of hostility and etc. in sub-realm. Hypothesis 1: The anger management video program would reduce aggression of anger expression psychotic patient (hostility, anger, verbal aggression, physical aggression). Hypothesis 1-1: It was tested that “The whole aggression of experimental group would be decreased, compared to control group". As a result, there was significant difference in interaction between time and group (F=14.38, p=.000), hence the first hypothesis was supported. Hypothesis 1-2: It was tested that “hostility aggression of experimental group would be decreased, compared to control group". As a result, there was significant difference in interaction between time and group (F=8.53, p=.001), hence the first hypothesis was supported. Hypothesis 1-3: It was tested that “anger aggression of experimental group would be decreased, compared to control group". As a result, there was significant difference in interaction between time and group (F=6.10, p=.004), hence the first hypothesis was supported. Hypothesis 1-4: It was tested that “verbal aggression of experimental group would be decreased, compared to control group". As a result, there was significant difference in interaction between time and group (F=7.58, p=.001), hence the first hypothesis was supported. Hypothesis 1-5: It was tested that “physical aggression of experimental group would be decreased, compared to control group". As a result, there was significant difference in interaction between time and group (F=13.92, p=.000), hence the first hypothesis was supported. Conclusion: Based on the study results, it was identified that the anger management video program has positive effect on aggression of psychotic patient. Therefore, the anger management video program would provide meaningful intervention for anger management by applying it to psychotic patient in various ways.
