This study intends to re-enlighten Kim, Yoo-Jung’s literature with a goal of newly reconsidering literature as a practical venue guaranteeing associativity at the current time of accelerating monadism due to deepening neoliberalism and decreasing public spheres. In the Korean society, due to it's historical distinctiveness of experiencing colonialism and the divided peninsula, the community based on coidentity has had mythical influence more than any other society, responding to which, the status of literature has risen in an unrivaled manner. However, as it was pointed out that the literature which had been once a privileged medium of our society has such a status no more and that it has obliterated the ideal forms required by our society to reproduce the community and strengthen its inner solidarity, the need to reconsider relationship between literature and the society has risen up to the surface. This study tries to analyze Kim, Yoo-Jung’s literature, premising the viewpoint that researches creating discussions to newly understand and analyze the forgoing novels should precede discussions on how to write future novels. His works do belong to the category of the modern literature on one hand, but they exist as a peculiarity evading discussions of the modern literature on the other. It is called ‘narrative-associativity’ to reveal heterogeneity of Kim’s works shunning capture by the established literary frame based on the modern coidentity, leading to a mobility ignited by the heterogeneity. Practical implication narrative-associativity has lie in the fact that it hardly sinks in the same wake in aspects of contentsㆍformality. It is the hollow interior in that it owns no coidentity, a feature shared by individuals, rather it is both the interior and the exterior, infinitely open. Since it owns no shared attribute, center, it exerts no exclusion nor oppression, enabling ethical communication reaching both the textual interior and exterior. That is to say, narrative-associativity can be thought as a writing tactic to converge differences, and guarantee ethics Narrator of Kim’s works positions himself as a modern literature ‘writer’ reexpressing the world by taking a peculiar point of time that enables him to capture the non-modern world on one hand, and exists as a witness revealing through his writing, coidentity of the colonial time otherwise unable to be reexpressed on the other. Those with their voices in Kim’s literature are left over, uncounted surplus, not marginalized parts in its totality, but refused non-parts. Kim’s works, due to destruction of the modern narrative fixed point, was able to honestly bring at present, the potential coidentity practically existing at that time, without tailoring it to taste of the modern logic, thus enabling the stories of the neglected to be on pages of literature.
