The goal of physical education is a well-rounded education through internalizing the value of physical activity, in other words, leading a physically active and healthy life. Also, it is to cultivate a desirable personality such as challenge ability and creative thinking required for a community life. Students form their value systems at school and are spending most of their adolescent period at school during which they form their personalities. The adolescent period is a time when value system, personality and self-identity are formed and physical change and conflicts occur, and during the adolescent period, the standard person who is influential on the socialization process could be a teacher and a peer group. Teachers not only teach, but also provide standards for values and identities. This study is to find out what influence can be formed and what relationship can be made between the non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher and in-class attitude and class satisfaction. In this study, students of 4 middle schools located in Seoul Coeducation was selected as the population in April, 2014 and total 459 was finally analyzed using convenience sampling. In this study, in order to understand the non-verbal communication, a questionnaire used by Kim Sang Hee(2007), Park Yu Mi(2010), Kim Bong Gwan and Lee Gang Ho (2009) is used after revising and supplementing suitable for this study. For the in-class attitude questionnaire, a questionnaire used by Hong Se Min (2010) is used after revising and supplementing suitable for this study, and for the class satisfaction questionnaire, a questionnaire made by Park Se Young, (1993) which is used by Hong Se Min (2010) is used after revising and supplementing suitable for this study. The statistical methods used in this study are Frequency Analysis, EFA(Exploratory Factor Analysis), Reliability Analysis, Independent Sample t-test, One way ANOVA & Scheffe, Correlation Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis, and the results are as follows. Firstly, the non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher causes differences in in-class attitude and class satisfaction according to the demographic characteristics (genders, grades, participation, numbers of participation) of the middle school students. In the analysis by grades, 1st graders and 3rd graders appear to be high in body language which is a sub-element of the non-verbal communication. 1st graders appear to be high in confidence and concentrativeness which are the sub-elements of in-class attitude. In participation decision analysis of in-class attitude, confidence of participants appear to be higher than that of non-participants, and a significant possibility appears. In the numbers of participation analysis, n.s value of confidence which is a sub-element of in-class attitude appears, and more than 1 time which is a factor of concentrativeness appear to be higher than other numbers, and significant difference appear. Secondly, in the analysis of the influence of the non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher on in-class attitude, it is appeared to be significantly influential on the sub-elements of in-class attitude in general. Thirdly, in the analysis of the influence of the non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher on class satisfaction, it is appeared to be significantly influential on the sub-elements of class satisfaction in general. Fourthly, in the analysis of the influence of in-class attitude toward class satisfaction, it is appeared to have significant influence on the sub-elements of in-class attitude such as confidence and concentrativeness. In the results of the study that examines the influence of the non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher on in-class attitude and class satisfaction, the non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher influences on in-class attitude, and in-class attitude influences on class satisfaction, thus, it provides a number of implications related to the directions of gym class for a physical education teacher to lead a gym class onward. Lastly, it is important to proceed an unfailing gym class from the 1st grade during which identity is formed to help forming a desirable attitude and satisfaction toward gym class as the students advance through school, and in order to enhance the education and to proceed an efficient class in general, the relationships between non-verbal communication of a physical education teacher and in-class attitude and class satisfaction is examined and the results are suggested to proceed an efficient class.
