(OR=2.31, 95%CI: 1.14-4.67), KGHQ(OR=3.83, 95%CI: 1.49-9.83), CES-D(OR=1.86, 95%CI: 1.01-3.42)가 통계적으로 유의한 연관성이 있었다.

Abstract A Case-Control Study on the Risk Factors for Infertility Min Yi Oh Department of Epidemiology and Health Informatics Graduate School of Public Health, Korea University (Supervising Professor: Byung Chul Chun MD, MPH, Ph.D.) Objectives: This study was designated to evaluate the risk factors of female infertility with a focus on stress scale and psychological measures. Methods: This case-control study included 150 cases of infertile women and 190 controls of pregnant women at the G Public Health Center in Seoul. Both cases and controls completed self-fill type questionnaires that included questions on sociodemographic factors, family history of infertility, medical history, lifestyle factors of smoking, drinking, BMI, and mental health factors such as stress, and depression. We also included the following tests: Korean versions of the General Health Questionnaire(KGHQ), Korean Occupational Stress Scale and Center for Epidemiologic Studies-Depression(CES-D) Scale. All statistical tests were two-tailed, and P<0.05 was deemed significant. Results: In comparing the controls and cases, age, spouse's age, marriage age, occupation, starting age for drinking alcohol, alcohol drinking during pre-pregnancy, subjective body-shape perception, suicidal ideation, KGHQ and CES-D Scale showed statistically significant differences. Also family medical history and passive smoking in the workplace showed borderline levels of statistical significance. Significant variables were analyzed by multiple logistic regression and showed statistically significant relationships in age (OR=2.73,95%CI:1.30-5.71), career managers and professionals (OR=2.04,95%CI:1.09-3.82),housewives and other occupations(OR=3.71, 95%CI:1.57-8.79), starting age of drinking alcohol(OR=2.68, 95%CI:1.48-4.88), alcohol drinking during pre-pregnancy(OR=2.29, 95%CI:1.14-4.60),subjective body-shape perception (OR=2.31, 95%CI:1.14-4.67), KGHQ(OR=3.83, 95%CI: 1.49-9.83) and CES-D Scale(OR=1.86, 95%CI: 1.01-3.42). Conclusion: Psychological management and counseling would be important measures for decreasing the incidence of infertility. Also, the lifestyle of the female has a significant relationship with infertility. Key words: case-control study, infertility, risk factors, stress, depression
