The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of walking with wearing height increase elevator shoes insole (elevator insole) of 0cm (without elevator insole), 2.5cm, and 5cm on the static balancing (static balance of right and left, moving distance of center of pressure), and the dynamic balance (dynamic balance of right and left) after 30 minutes application on each insoles. Thirty men in their 20s were participated as the subjects for this study, and. They wore elevator insole of each 0cm, 2.5cm, and 5cm and walked in the fixed route for 30 minutes. Then the static balance of right and left, moving distance of the center of pressure, dynamic balance of right and left were measured through the Gait-view system. In the statistical analysis, the comparison between before and after walking with wearing the elevator insole was analyzed by the corresponding paired t-test, and the repeated measures analysis of variance was used for the comparison between the heights of elevator insole. In the results, in the comparison between before and after walking by its heights with wearing elevator insole, there were significant differences with 2.5cm and 5cm (p0.05). About the difference between the heights of elevator insole, there were significant differences between 0cm, 2.5cm, 5cm in the static balance of right and left, moving distance of the center of pressure, and dynamic balance of right and left (p<0.05). In conclusion, the elevator insole of 2.5cm and 5cm had effect on increasing the change of the static and dynamic balance, and it shows the adverse effect on the physical functional aspect. The further studies on the effect of the elevator insole on the balance and the effects on the physical general kinematics or biomechanical changes should be carried out.
