The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the movement of a pendulum by an experiment for Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The MBL experimental apparatus was used in the experiment, which helps students to measure data easily on the basis of ‘electromagnetic induction’ of high school Physics Ⅰ and ‘pendulum’ of high school Physics Ⅱ. A neodymium magnet moving pendulum over a solenoid yields a current by the Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The periodic motion of the pendulum leads to a periodic current signal in the MBL apparatus. From the periodic signal of the electromagnetic induction current, one can measure the period of the pendulum and compare it to the theoretical value. Furthermore, from the measured period, one can measure the gravitational acceleration g and also compare it to the known gravitational acceleration measured g' in the place where the experiment is made. In addition, the speed of the pendulum in the vicinity of the equilibrium point was measured by the current signal and was compared with to the theoretical value. Experiments reveal the period and the speed in the vicinity of the equilibrium point being in good agreement with the theoretical values. This means that the electromagnetic induction can be a useful way for analysing the mechanical pendulum motion.
