Recently, many smart health care devices for correction of posture have been developed to solve the problem. But, these devices are just only using the analog sensor for the purpose of measuring the pressure. Analog sensors are difficult to apply of many sensors, because of the high costs. So, the smart cushion using only the analog sensors can’t measure the sitting area and position, and difficult to use because the results of measurement are affected by the position of cushion and user. In this paper, to solve these problems, we applied the complex sensing technology in smart cushions. The complex sensing technology is using together the digital sensors and the analog sensors.Digital sensor is inexpensive. So, it is possible to apply the many sesnors to the all sitting area, position, and pressure. So, we implemented a smart cushion using the complex sensing technology. As a result, using this smart cushion that we developed the user can measure the sitting posture easily, such as user;s sitting area. Position and pressure. “Smart cushions by using complex sensing technology” can get more data than previous smart cushin easily at a low price. Threough the use of this cushion, it is helpful to maintain straight posture and correct user’s posture.
