A typical armor is composed of layers made of fiber laminates, ceramics, rubbers, metals, etc. Para-aramid fibres are used in protective clothing where cut, abrasion or thermal resistance is critical. Applications include gloves and sleeves for automotive, glass, steel and metal workers, chainsaw chaps and trousers for lumberjacks and other apparel such as aprons and jackets. Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) fiber has been used in a wide and ever-increasing range of applications such as personal and vehicle ballastic protection, cut-resistant gloves, apparel, and ropes. The purpose of this study is to prepare high performance protective clothing using para-aramid fabric and UHMWPE fabric. Layers were arranged and obtained better protective clothing efficiency with less weight. We studied about ballistic characterization with layers of para-aramid and UHMWPE fabric. The ballistic characterization was enhanced by the coating of EVA resin film and pressing laminate fiber matrix. This study was verified by back side transformation and V50.
