A Study on the Measurement of Safety Accident in the Electric Construction Sites : Focused on the Worker's Awareness원문보기

Industrial Safety and Health Act was established in December 31,1981 to avoid accidental accidents and to secure safety and health of workers as well as to promote a pleasant environment to work in. However, even after 35years from the establishment, it seems that the number of accidents of construction sites has been constantly increasing. Above all, even though electricity is critical to the life of people, accidents of electrical construction fields has been increasing. In addition, safety accidents of electric construction sites have been occurred constantly. Industrial accidents of construction sites can be occurred due to unstable conditions and working environment. Especially, small-scale construction sites have poorer working environment, and basic safety management such as installation of safety facilities or wearing protective equipment is not being properly observed. Hence, in this paper, industrial accidents of electrical construction sites are going to be reviewed, and based on a survey from construction labors, safety awareness of the labors and countermeasures will be dealt with. Firstly, while workers who sense danger during work at least once account for 97.1%, the rate of workers who do not wear personal protective equipment because of discomforts is 77.1%. Therefore, there is a need of improvement and development of personal protective equipment to reduce discomforts and raise worker's safety. Secondly, conducting safety training within 30minutes but in every day before work would be a good plan reflecting opinions of workers. Contents of training should be safety regulations or precautions regarding day's operation procedures. Thirdly, systems maximizing interest of workers are needed by an education such as showing fatal accidents examples or videos to make workers think safety training is not just formal process. If the above improvement plans are applied, it is able to expect to raise safety consciousness gradually and reduce safety hazards.
