This study measured the activities of Erector spinae, Gluteus maximus, Tensor fasciae latae, Vastus lateralis, Vastus medialis, Biceps femoris and Tibialis anterior of 20 students who go to a college in S-city, Gyeongbuk, according to the speed of Overground, Motorized Treadmill and Non-motorized Treadmill. The results are summarized as follows : 1. In fast walking, the activity of Erector spinae was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than in Motorized Treadmill(P<.05), and was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than Overground(P<.05). In sprint, it was higher in Overground than in Non-motorized Treadmill(P.05). In sprint, it was higher in Overground than in Motorized Treadmill and Non-motorized Treadmill(P.05), but there was difference in exercise condition(P<.001). 4. In fast walking, the activity of Vastus lateralis was higher in Motorized Treadmill and Non-motorized Treadmill than in Overground (P<.05 respectively). In sprint, it was higher in Overground than in Motorized Treadmill(P<.05). 5. In fast walking, the activity of Vastus medialis was higher in Motorized Treadmill than in Overground (P<.05). In sprint, it was higher in Overground than in in Motorized Treadmill and Non-motorized Treadmill(P<.05). 6. In fast walking, the activity of Biceps femoris was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than in Motorized Treadmill(P<.001), and it was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than Overground(P<.01). In sprint, it was higher in Overground than in Motorized Treadmill and Non-motorized Treadmill(P.05), but showed difference in exercise condition(P<.001).8. It was intended to research the difference in analysis of the activity of Gastrocnemius. In fast walking, the activity of Gastrocnemius was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than in Motorized Treadmill and Overground(P<.001), and it was higher in Overground than in Motorized Treadmill(P<.01). In jogging, it was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than in Motorized Treadmill(P<.001), and it was higher in Overground than in Motorized Treadmill(P.05). In sprint, it was higher in Non-motorized Treadmill than in Motorized Treadmill(P<.01), and it was higher in Overground than in Motorized Treadmill(P.05). 9. The activities of Erector spinae, Gluteus maximus, Tensor fasciae latae, Vastus lateralis, Vastus medialis, Biceps femoris, Tibialis anterior and Gastrocnemius were highest in sprint followed by jogging and fast walking regarding exercise conditions(P<.001). This study indicates that exercising with Non-motorized Treadmill that has the same effect as Overground that causes high muscle activities is desirable to maintain good shape and muscular strength. In the future study, it will be better to collect more data from not only those in 20s but also various age groups with various speeds. Besides, more effective exercise methods can be suggested if training is done based on this.
