The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of social network of elderly women living alone on satisfaction with life. This research utilized the fourth(2012) and fifth(2014) research data of ‘Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging: KLoSA’ carried out by Korea Labor Institute. The subjects were 543 elderly women living alone who were at the age above 65 in 2012, and lived alone throughout the two research terms(fourth and fifth research year). To analyze the data, frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were carried out to find out the general tendency of variables. Lagged Effect Model including lagged endogenous variables was utilized for hierarchical multiple regression analysis, to find out how social network of elderly women living alone affects life satisfaction. Since the research utilized fourth and fifth panel data, analysis of how the independent variable of fourth data(2012) affects the dependent variable of fifth data(2014) under controlled conditions was carried out. The summary of this research is as follows. Firstly, elderly women living alone show an average level of life satisfaction and 80% of them meet closely-related people more than once a week. On average, these elderly women living alone meet their children who do not live together 4-5 times a year, and the number of participation in formal social network was one or none. Secondly, the number of contact with close people, which is an informal social network, has a significant influence on satisfaction with life but social relations variables other than the controlled variables failed to fully explain the life satisfaction of elders.
