Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a mental illness that has a great social and personal impact. Although major depressive disorder occurs frequently in depression, it is difficult to study because of complicated patterns such as brain tissue complexity and gene expression profile. Recently, abnormal communication between genes that form functional and pathophysiological networks of large brain has been reported in people with major depressive disorder. We collected various messenger RNAs from the brain tissues of patients with major depressive disorder and normal persons and analyzed them by the next generation sequencing method. In comparison of the samples, we used a comparison method using multiple factors. By analyzing the network of genes expressed in a similar pattern, we could confirm that the expression patterns of the genes of normal and patients were different according to the brain regions. Genes involved in transport of sugar, calcium, and plasma proteins were expressed in more than two to sixteen higher levels in patients than in normal subjects, and genes that bind to or inhibit transport to the domain were expressed at lower levels than normal, Depressive disorder was found to be complex. In addition, microRNAs from the same patient were analyzed, and the expression patterns of messenger RNA and microRNA target genes could be reaffirmed. In order to find the cause of major depressive disorder or predicting the phenotype pattern, we have found that the expression pattern of a non single gene should be confirmed in a network form.
