The method of connecting the PHC file used in this study differs from the original PHC pile connection method. The bolting method used in the study uses steel plates and horizontal and vertical bolts to fasten the PHC pile connections. The PHC pile connection consists of a L-section plate, a circular plate, square nuts, horizontal bolts and vertical bolts. The vertical bolts connect the PHC pile and the L-section plate, the PHC pile and the circular plate on the opposite side, and the square nut is welded to the circular plate. The horizontal bolts connect the PHC pile by tightening the hole in the side of the L-section plate and a welded square nut that is welded to the plate. To understand the structural behavior of the PHC pile, the PHC pile and bolt connections were modeled to 3D solid model using the finite element analysis program, ABAQUS. The actual bolted connection is idealized by the contact and tie condition given in ABAQUS. Mesh is a regular tetrahedron form, and where holes are more finely separated. The analysis of the PHC pile connection was carried out for compression, tensile, bending and shearing. The analysis progressed the number of square nuts from 8 to 12 and the safety factor was calculated by comparing the analysis result and the yield stress. When there were 8 square nuts, the yield occurred in the compression and tensile analysis. To reinforce this, the number of square nuts increased by 2. When the number of square nuts was 10, the yield occurred in the tensile analysis so increased the two square nuts to reinforce it. When the number of square nuts was 12, the safety factor of all connections for all four analysis was calculated above 1. Thus, when the number of square nuts is 12, the safety of the PHC pile connection has been secured because the safety factor was greater than 1 in compression, tensile, bending and shear analyses.
