Modern and contemporary Anthropology is rooted in the suspicion of human being as a unity of body and soul. Defining body and soul just as res, and arbitrarily taking into consideration a hierarchical structure between them, it shows an anthropological dualism which postulates a radical twofoldness of soul and body. This vision causes to understand anima-corpus, natura-persona, and veritas-libertas in a perspective of binary opposition. In this perspective the liberation ‘from the body’ or that ‘of the body’ is put into discourse in the form of strategy for winning its own political and cultural freedom by denying the other side. It also produce a ‘free’ human by erasing logos of the body such as the invention of “corps sans organe” or “organs sans corps.” In this contemporary trends, post-humanism is being discussed, where the human in an era of science and technology is reviewed. This study intends to critically analyzes post-humanism in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, from the perspective of recognizing the metaphysical-ontological significance human being as a persona with body. Post-humanism presupposes a liquid world view featuring the agitation of modern subjectivity and the relativistic view of contemporary culture. Judging that modern humanism based on rational certainty and solid structure has reached its limit, they advocate new humanism based on advanced science and emerging technology. Here, it is necessary to understand post-humanism in an ambivalent aspect of transhumanism and posthumanism. Transhumanism succeeds modern humanism from the perspective of technical deterministic. Accepting an project of Enlightenment toward progress, it pursues ‘human enhancement’ which improves biological, spiritual and moral human condition by applying enhancement technologies. In the context of transformation of human nature, ‘improvement’ and ‘extension’ through hybridization of information and technology are emphasized as the essence of the new subjectivity. In particular, transhumanism regards the human body as a mechanical component that seamlessly connects, substitutes, and deforms with information and technology, and to artificially manipulate it. Finally, the ‘post-human’ is planed as a new species that escapes from the innate limits of Homo sapiens in ‘mind uploading’ and ‘disembodiment’ which remove the body. On the other hand, posthumanism seeks to overcome modern humanism which has been degenerated into anthropocentrism through science and technology. Premising of the postmodern perception of anti-humanism series, it dismantle the hierarchical difference construction of subject-object dualism and the essentialistic nature from the perspective of scientific identity. By incorporating machine and technology as a component of subjectivity, posthumanism insist that the human being, ‘from the very beginning’ is materialistic ‘component’ and ‘assemblage’ which is composed of technology and culture. That is, human being is seen as consisting not of natural nature, but only of the materialistic technology-culture condition of the times. In this point of view, posthumanism persuades the ‘post-human’ subjectivity as a human-technologies amalgam that realizes “devenir-tour-le-monde” by repeatedly intercepting and connecting with machine and technology in a form of continuous performance and process. Post-humanism which emerged at the end of the last century, however, implies a desire that is not new at all. The essence of post-humansim is the indiscriminate desire to claim for human freedom through the fabrication and deconstruction of nature, denying the intimate relationship of narura-libertas. But freedom is not developed, but rather is regressive. The rational subject now finds ‘freedom’ when in ‘post-humanism’, one is turned entirely into material. It is to mistake slavery which is constantly defined by technology as freedom. This gradual regressive in freedom is linked to the dyslexia on the logos of the body. Human being is a persona with a body, and also a unity of body and soul. From its nature that has its roots in the body starts the desire for human freedom. It is also there that the internal goal of transcendance is engraved. Thus, human nature is not a ‘problem’ that is given innately, but is a ‘question’ which guides him to complete freedom and perfection. Human being enjoys true libertas in veritas, which is carved into his body as a gift, and can walk toward complete perfectio.
