Effects of caregiver burden on quality of life of the family caregivrs[i.e. caregivers] of patients with terminal cancer원문보기

Purpose: This study was to present the basic data for improving the quality of family life based on them to identify the influencing factors on Burden and Quality of Life targeting a terminal cancer patient's family admitted to hospice and palliative care institutions.. Metheds: Survey of the present study was end admitted to the six national hospice and palliative care professional organizations from 25 July 2018 until 14 September, using a structured questionnaire targeting families caring for terminally ill patients mainly analyzed by collecting a total of 125 parts. Research tool was used to modify the Seo mihye and Oh gasil (1993) Burden measurement tools and Mn seonggil et al. (2000) standardized by the Korean version of WHOQOL-BREF tool in the life of a family development. The data were used for descriptive statistics methods using SPSS WIN 23.0, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis. Results: 1. The burden of the family of terminal cancer patients was 2.83 points (average of 5 points). In terms of areas, dependent areas, social areas, physical areas, economic areas, and emotional areas were ranked 2. The quality of life of the patients with terminal cancer patients was 3.23 on average (average of 5 points). Physical health, social relations, overall quality of life, health, environment, and psychological health were the major categories. 3. Terminal cancer patients' families about the burden of religion (t = -2.19, p <.031), the last school (F = 3.59, p <.031), the average monthly household income (F = 5.41, p <.006), and patients the relationship (F = 8.15, p <.001), and whether the patient lived (t = 2.00, p <.047), care assistant or without (t = -2.19, p <.031), patient care time (F = 17.12, p <.001), family support degree (F = 5.18, p <.007), perceived health status(F = 15.18, p <.001). There was a statistically significant difference. 4. The quality of life of the patients with terminal cancer patients was found to be significantly higher in the age group (F = 6.26, p <.001), final education (F = 12.09, p <.001), monthly average household income (F = (P = .001), family support (F = 11.02, p <.001), perceived health status (F = 22.86, p <.001). There was a statistically significant difference. 5. The negative correlation (r = .579, p <.001) was found as a result of the relationship between the burden of family with terminal cancer patients and the quality of life. The lower the degree of family burden, the higher the quality of life. 6. Factors affecting the quality of life of terminal cancer patients' families is emotional areas of the burden of the family (β = -0.35, p <.001), perceived health status (β = 0.23, p <.001), degree of family support (β = 0.23, p <.001), the family of age (β = -0.19, p <.003), the area of economic burden of the family (β = -0.16, p <.020), the last school (β=0.13 p<.033) and the explanatory power of the whole model was 56.0%. These results suggest that the lower the burden of families of terminal cancer patients, the higher the quality of life. The quality of life of family with terminal cancer patients was affected by emotional domain of family burden, perceived health status, degree of family support, age of family, economic extent of family burden, and final educational background. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of life of patients with terminal cancer patients, it is necessary to develop a nursing intervention program to reduce burden considering the related factors.
