중학교 통합학급 음악수업 지도안 연구 : 중학교 1학년 중심으로 A Study on Music Lesson Plans for Integrated Classes in Middle School : With a focus on seventh grade middle school students원문보기

The purpose of this study is to investigate music lesson plans for integrated classes in middle school. The study targeted seventh-grade integrated classes in middle school in which students with intellectual disabilities held the biggest percentage of special education students. After examining the theoretical foundation of integrated education and backgrounds related to intellectual disabilities, the investigator proposed a music lesson plan for integrated classes designed to help both common students and students with disabilities develop mutual dependence and cooperation in an integrated class and to provide them with activities that the entire class could participate in. By applying the principles of instructional adaptation and universal design for learning, the investigator organized a specific lesson plan to cover the educational process from setting a goal to conducting an evaluation. Consisting of diverse activities, including appreciation, singing, chorus, body expression, and instrument playing, four lessons plans were used to design a six-lesson program. The study first examined the concept of integrated education and the actual state of integrated education in the nation to raise a need for teaching and learning plans for music. It also looked into instructional adaptation and universal design for learning as methods of educational integration between common students and students with disabilities and applied them to music education, figuring out specific plans in the areas of teaching environment, methods, materials, and content and evaluation. Furthermore, the study understood the characteristics of students with intellectual disabilities based on literature and searched for lesson plans that were suitable for them. After reviewing and comparing the general and special music curriculums revised in 2015, the investigator provided a series of specific teaching and learning instructional plans and learning materials to meet all the goals of education and to propose more practical plans. The findings show that most of the teachers responsible for integrated classes were appointed regardless of their professional background, and there were only a few cases of curricular revision and collaboration with special education teachers. Common teachers and special education teachers need to make a greater effort to narrow the gap between their perceptions, and there should be administrative support for their effort. In most cases, Korean, English and Math are excluded from lesson plans for integrated classes in middle and high school, which raises a need for teachers to develop their educational abilities to support insufficient subjects along with instructional support and follow-up measures. The findings of this study will hopefully lead to a variety of instructional plans in many different environments where educational needs will vary according to individual characteristics and have positive impacts on the perceptions of integrated classes among common teachers and students.
