In the injection molding of plastic products, in order to discharge the gas generated from the resin, the existing method is producing the product by installing a vent groove in the gas vent core and part in the mold. In recent years, in order to satisfy the characteristics required for a product, a resin to which a flame retardant, Talc, Glass Fiber, etc. have been added has been used. This causes severe gas generation during molding and requires intensive gas vent installation in the mold. This study is a study on the over flow type gas venting mold technology to completely discharge the gas and cold slug generated during injection molding. In general, overflow occurs on the exterior of the product, which causes a problem of deterioration of the product. In this study, this quality problem is also improved by applying the automatic cutting structure in the mold. For technical review, 32” TV Cabinet with 2.8mm thickness was selected. Cavity of mold is high gloss, and 8 curved gates are installed. CAE was performed to select the last-fill location generated at each gate. Overflow and In-mold cutting structures were installed at selected positions. The resin used was PC/ABS+GF15%, and the improvement of gas defects with and without the application of Over-flow Gas Venting technology was examined. As a result of conducting this study, it was confirmed that the cold slug and gas were discharged through the over-flow, and the operability of the automatic cutting structure in the mold was good. By applying the gas venting mold technology, it was confirmed that the appearance quality of the product was improved by removing the gas generated during molding.
