Based on the novel, "Contradiction" written by the author Yang Gui-ja, this thesis analyzes the psychology of the characters, and suggests methods of literature education. Yang Gui-ja's works from the 90's, such as "Thousand Years of Love" and "I Want Things Forbidden to Me", are resourced on unrealistic narratives corresponded to popular novels. First, a method of educating the bilateral emotions of a person with conflicting attitudes, emotions, and behaviors from a particular situation or characters in connection with the bilateral emotions of adolescents, can recognize the universality of pain, and help people get out of guilt. Secondly, educating a person with his or her inferiority and jealousy into how adolescents would feel jealous, could make adolescents accept their own jealousy and inferiority as a source of new development. Finally, a person who is in the stage of self-identity confusion, can remind adolescents of realizing the importance of self-identity formation. This thesis' process of analyzing the universal and human emotions described in "Contradiction", that people want to hide, will help people re-recognize the value of Yang Gui-ja's novels, which have been disparaged as just popular novels.
