Extracellular vesicles (EVs), including exosomes and microvesicles exist in various body fluids. These vesicles contain biomarkers (proteins, nucleic acids) that can be used for clinical diagnosis. Although ultracentrifugation method is commonly used to isolate EVs, it is limited by long process time, low recovery, and low purity for clinical applications. Here, we present a size-exclusion exosome isolation device that is simple, cost-effective EV isolation from biofluids. Enrichment of exosome in the size range of 30 – 200 nm was achieved using motor driven fluidic system. Quantitative tests using Nanoparticle-Tracking Analysis (NTA) confirmed that the device enabled exosome separation within the size range of 30 – 80 nm and 80 – 200nm.
