Recently, the demand for molded circuit components manufactured by molding electronic circuits on the surfaces of parts made of non-conductive polymer materials is increasing. In this study, the production of molded circuit components with electronic circuits formed on the surface of plastic parts was developed by applying the extrusion lamination method. The base material was manufactured using a thermoplastic polymer material, and the molding of the electronic circuit used a method of extruding a low melting point metal filament on the surface of the base material. The design of the nozzle was changed to be suitable for the extrusion of low melting point metal materials, and the computer simulation was performed through numerical analysis to change the design of the nozzle. Polymeric plastic material having glass transition temperature is printed by receiving driving force of extruded filament with fluidity while reaching glass transition temperature due to the characteristics of the material. As soon as the melting point reaches the melting point, the metallic material does not receive the driving force transmitted from the filament as it phase-changes into the liquid state. Therefore, in order to analyze this, the thermal characteristics of the nozzles were numerically analyzed. Based on this, the study was performed to improve the nozzles and to obtain the optimum printing conditions of the lead wires. An undercut channel was applied to the surface of the plastic part to prevent separation between the conductor and the plastic part, and printing was performed by extruding a metal filament inside the channel. In addition, experiments were performed to obtain printing conditions and channel shapes suitable for printing on curved surfaces. The results of the study were verified by designing a laser pointer and forming a circuit by printing metal filaments to utilize curved printing. Finally, extrusion lamination using metal filaments was carried out, and research was conducted to obtain optimum printing conditions according to the high surface tension of metal filaments. Extrusion lamination conditions using metal filaments were optimized, and the extrusion lamination using metal filaments was realized by outputting a pyramidal shape with an inclination angle.
