With the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the growing need of research and discussion of the products and services based on the Voice Recognition Artificial Intelligence has increased in the customer's perspective. Therefore, this study identified the customer's attitudes and tendencies toward the voice recognition AI products and services and empirically validated the factors that affect the purchase intention based on the expanded model of psychological consumer resistance factors, which is established by Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model(TRAM) that integrates Technology Readiness Index(TRI) and Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) of the consumer acceptance of innovative technologies or products. We conducted an online/offline survey in June 2019 for the collection of consumer data. A total of 252 questionnaires were used in the analysis, except for insincere or those showed centralized tendencies. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22 and AMOS 22. As a result, The hypotheses were adopted which says cost rationality, suitability and social effects, which are sub-factors of resistance to voice recognition AI products, would have a significant effect on consumer resistance. It also showed that consumer resistance has a significant effect on consumer’s intention to use. It is proven that optimism and innovativeness, activity factors of Technology Readiness Index(TRI), had a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). Furthermore, The inconvenience and anxiety which are the hindrance factors also had a significant effects on perceived usefulness of TAM. The hypothesis that perceived ease of use had a significant effect on perceived usefulness has been adopted but rejected in intention to use. This study theoretically derived the consumer resistance factors toward innovative products and suggests the company’s practical criteria for reducing consumer resistance by empirical analysis. In addition of the empirical analysis of activity and hindrance factors on acceptance and diffusion, this paper suggested the criteria that help to analyze the failure factors of company’s innovative products and to establish the differentiated strategies in the point that increased perceived usefulness and ease to use can facilitate consumer’s intention to use. Finally, there is an academic suggestion that a clear association with the conceptual components of TRI and TAM can be established and resistance, which is a psychological concept of consumer behavior research, can be systematically understood by presenting the expanded TRAM research model for innovative technologies or products.
