Infectious diseases have been together steadily since the birth of human civilization. Early infectious diseases came from a poor vegetation environment. The Black Death that swept through medieval Europe wiped out 30 percent of Europe's population. Now that most countries are free to travel across borders in the age of high-tech civilization, viruses can reach anywhere on Earth unless they block the sea and the sky. In particular, as traffic development increases the spread of new infectious diseases introduced into the country, infectious diseases are now regarded as an international social disaster (Jung In-sook, Yoo Jeong-ok, Ha Mi-jeong, 2017), and overseas infectious diseases disasters that have also been spread to Korea have experienced more than three times in 10 years (Eun, 2017). The latest outbreak of COVID-19 has so far recorded 5,168,433 infections worldwide, 335,936, and 1,985,656 fatalities. Corona19 has major symptoms: high fever and cough, shortness of breath and a maximum incubation period of 14 days. Infection sources are estimated to be animals, and human-to-human propagation is mainly spread through respiratory secretions. The powerful COVID-19 has dealt a huge blow to society and industry as a whole. In this study, we focused on the impact of the COVID-19 virus on domestic construction sites. Construction sites utilize a lot of manpower and there is a risk of collective infection in case of confirmed cases due to group life such as intensive work and accommodation. It is also one of the factors that increase the vulnerability of COVID-19 infections, as there are many foreign workers and one person entering and leaving several construction sites. In addition, the high proportion of elderly workers makes it very unlikely to recover if exposed to COVID-19, which has a higher mortality rate as they get older. In this study, we observed the stage until May when COVID-19 flowed into the country from abroad and showed a lull, and the confirmed number of construction workers was much lower than that of the general public. The reasons were pre-control of the underlying patients, effective control of workers with early suspected symptoms, and rapid use of the masks provided. However, in preparation for a surge in the number of overseas construction workers, a case analysis in Singapore has drawn the need for a regular inspection of the workers' accommodation outside the country. It can be said that the reason for the re-proliferation of the construction site in Singapore, which used to be a model country for Corona management, is largely due to the out of control of the foreign construction worker zone. As a result, it was concluded that systematic initial response suitable for the construction industry and regulatory management on the site side as well as regular health checks of workers' outside accommodation were needed. In addition to the main measures, this study proposed improvements to enhance the areas that can be strengthened inside the site: effective control, hygiene control and overpopulation prevention. In addition, the focus was on improving the poor environment by institutionalizing the hygiene control of controlled blind spots, such as on-site external factors, such as workers' external accommodation. In conclusion, it is meaningful to manualize measures to respond to infectious diseases caused by viruses at construction sites so that they can be dealt with promptly.
