This study was conducted to investigate how women's beauty management behaviors affect psychological happiness COVID-19. Beauty management behavior is a means of managing appearance, such as fashion style, skin care, makeup, hair, nail, body type and weight management, for external beauty, and creating a good image of oneself. It also refers to behavior that shows one's personality and positive image to others. Psychological happiness refers to the subjective recognition of a person's positive emotions, and similar concepts such as subjective quality of life, psychological well-being, life satisfaction, and subjective happiness are comprehensively expressed. In this study, the purpose of this study was to scientifically identify the effects of changes in women's perception and concept of beauty management on changes in physical self-management in the current situation of COVID-19, a global pandemic officially declared by the World Health Organization. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the mechanism of women's beauty behavior in pursuit of psychological happiness. To achieve this research purpose, beauty management behavior was set as an independent variable, and beauty interest, information search, beauty behavior, and appearance satisfaction were set as sub-factors. The psychological happiness variable was set as the dependent variable, and environmental control, personal growth, life purpose, and positive interpersonal relationship were set as sub-factors. For sampling of study participants, judgmental sampling by nonprobability sampling was used. For the selection of participants, 231 people were recruited online from freelancers, self-employed people, workers, and students from related departments working in the beauty health industry in S city and G province. Exploratory Factor Analysis was conducted to check the validity of the scale to measure women's beauty management behavior and psychological happiness after COVID-19, and the factor analysis model of the measurement tool was confirmed to be suitable. In the results of the Cronbach'ɑ test to analyze the reliability of the measurement tool, the sub-factors of the beauty management behavior were beauty interest .859, information search .844, beauty behavior .874, and appearance satisfaction .868, confirming good reliability. As for the sub-factors of psychological happiness, environmental control .701, personal growth .725, life purpose .805, and positive interpersonal relationship .796 were confirmed as good reliability. In the MANOVA study to examine the differences between participants' demographic variables, beauty management behaviors, and psychological happiness, it was confirmed that there were significant differences in age, marital status, educational background, occupation, and amount of beauty care required. In the results of multiple regression analysis conducted to verify the relationship between beauty interest, information search, beauty behavior, and appearance satisfaction as independent variables, and psychological happiness variable as dependent variables, interest factor, information search factor, and appearance satisfaction factor resulted in significant results. However, no statistical significance was found in the beauty behavior factors, confirming that there was a direct change in the beauty behavior after COVID-19. Therefore, it was found that women's beauty management behavior after COVID-19 has a positive effect on psychological happiness, and I think that the results of this study can be used as in-depth and efficient data for future beauty health-related research.
