Recently, the miniaturization and popularization of 3D sensors have been used in various places, including robots, autonomous driving, and other mobile devices. In particular, it is important to understand the 3D environment in the fields of robots and auto-driving, and 3D object detection is an effective method for identifying stereoscopic spatial environments. Advances in hardware and deep learning have enabled the representation and structure of point clouds, which are 3D raw data, and Point-GNN, a method that learns point information graphically to more specifically and efficiently handle these point clouds, has been proposed. Although it is highly efficient in memory usage because graph structures are reused when aggregating features of adjacent points using graphs, there are problems due to the increase in MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron) nodes. In this paper, we focus on increasing efficiency and improving prediction and learning speed through neural networks by aggregating features around objects with graphs to address the above issues. To this end, we use GCN (Graph Convolutional Network) models rather than the structure of a simple multilayer neural network layer. GCN aggregates the surrounding features by a matrix product of adjacent matrices and feature matrices. To reflect the relative characteristics between points as an element of accuracy improvement, we multiply the Laplacian matrix by the feature matrix to produce relative features and use adjacency matrices for typical GCN operations. Furthermore, we refine features through various data preprocessing algorithms and techniques such as Skip Connection. The GCN-applied system aggregates information from object peripheral points into convolutional neural networks by graphically structuring point clouds capable of precisely acquiring three-dimensional information. As a result of evaluating the performance of the GCN system, this proposal can efficiently increase the computation rate compared to the existing system.
